MOM'S HOMEMADE WAFFLES

INGREDIENTS

1 stick of melted butter
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar or less
2 cups of milk
2 cups of flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

DIRECTIONS
  • Combine butter, eggs, sugar and milk. Stir with wire whisk. Add rest of dry ingredients and stir. Depending on size of waffle iron, place 1/2 cup to 1 cup in waffle maker for 2-3 minutes.
CHEESY HASH BROWNS

INGREDIENTS

8 eggs
8 frozen hash brown patties
4cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups cubed cooked ham (or bacon or sausage)
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp salt

DIRECTIONS
  • Place hash brown patties in a single layer in a greased 9x13 pan.
  • Sprinkle with cheese and ham.
  • In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, salt and mustard. Pour mixture over meat. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour, uncover. Bake 15 minutes longer or until edges are golden and knife inserted near center comes out clean.
